Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic specialty coffee Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing delicious coffee beverages. If you have a passion for coffee and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
• Describes product details to customers.
• Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
• Operate coffee equipment, including espresso machines, pour overs and grinders
• Handle cash transactions and operate the Square POS system
• Assist with food preparation and serving as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns
• Ensure customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Stocks supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Weekday/Weekend Shifts – mix of morning and closing shifts

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail required
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons.
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
